Clean the area.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eApply a light coat of bedding compound so each hole is bedded.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eFasten the base (9) with 6 pcs M6 countersunk head screws, using large washers or a backing plate.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eReassemble in reverse order and check the winch works correctly.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003ch2 class=\"om-h\"\u003eService Instruction\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaintenance interval 1-2 years, depending on operating conditions.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003col\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRemove nut (14), handle (13) and shaft cover tube (11); slide the shaft\/top (1) up through the winch and remove the drum (5).\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eClean all moving parts with white spirits \/ mineral spirits.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eCheck pawls and springs (2, 8) for wear and replace if necessary.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eReassemble, lightly greasing all moving parts, and check the winch works correctly.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"om-note\"\u003eIf it has not been greased regularly the shaft cover tube can be hard to remove, especially on older models where it is fitted directly on the shaft. Tap it with a rubber hammer while supporting the other side with a wooden block, or tap the shaft\/top up with a rubber hammer – with the nut fitted, to protect the thread. Andersen recommends always using ANDERSEN WINCH GREASE (silicone\/Teflon®); most other greases, including \"marine grease\", are not
