The indicators at the top of the display show which programme is selected.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSet one period (press \"PROG\" once) or multiples (press \"PROG\" several times, countdown and up or the 1 minute programme of countdown repeat), then press \"START\". The countdown can be stopped and restarted as many times as required.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAt zero, countdown and up switches to counting up (up arrow icon) to 59 mins 59 secs, then starts at 0:00 again – elapsed race time, useful in handicap racing. Countdown repeat reverts to the programmed time and counts down again.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eOnce the countdown is running only \"START\/STOP\", \"SYNC\" and \"MODE\" work. A single beep confirms any button press that has a function.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSilence the alarm for visual use only: hold \"MODE\" for approximately 2 seconds until a short bip; the bell icon disappears. Repeat to switch it back on.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eSYNC – synchronising with the starter\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\"SYNC\" only works during a running countdown.
