DESCRIPTION

World-class laminated tiller for your sailboat. Our tillers are built in-house from top quality wood selected for its strength and beauty. Eight strips of laminated African mahogany and white ash are glued in our proprietary molds to produce tillers for specific boat models. The butt end dimensions are 2"H X 1 1/2"W. This is a style A tiller with 43 1/2" overall length.

During the manufacturing process, a piece of quarter sawn mahogany was selected for the top strip, creating a uniquely beautiful tiller. Unfortunately, when the tiller was pressed in the mold, a small crack formed as the grain was stressed. This cosmetic imperfection was repaired and reinforced and has no impact on the overall strength or durability of the tiller. Once finished with varnish, this tiller will have no issues other than a bit of character and an interesting story to its origin.
