Each electric winch requires one control box, one breaker, and two switches. Harken recommends adding an optional load controller. For winches larger than B980, please contact us. Hydraulic units require two switches.

Load Controllers
The winch load controller is an electronic system that protects Harken winches from overload by temporarily interrupting the power supply to the winch. The load controller comes installed with standard overload settings. It is offered as standard equipment or as an option, depending on winch size and motor wattage.
