Electrical Installation

Wire length = battery to motor and back to battery. Additional capacity assumes one winch used 15 minutes (0.25hr) a day at 1/2 MWL, then 3 x the total Ah of all equipment as a rule of thumb; ask a qualified marine electrician. Minimum bank keeps 10.5V in 12V systems (21V in 24V systems) at start-up, based on battery CCA at -18C with fully charged batteries. The motor cuts out at pre-determined current and temperature limits; performance curves are in the data sheets.

  • Supplied with installation manual, push button, 1000mm (39") push button control cable and circuit breaker/controller.
  • A secondary push button RA866000, RA866010 or RA866020 can be added only if specified with the original order – it cannot be retrofitted.
  • Wiring: push button → control cable → motor; motor power via the circuit breaker/controller to the battery; thermal sensor wires from motor to the breaker/controller.
