Vision Series Installation
- Follow the electronics manufacturer's instructions for placement and mounting, and for cable routing.
- Clean the mounting surface. Place the mount, mark the four bolt holes and position the cable hole so it aligns with the hole in the bottom of the mount. Drill the 4 bolt holes (3/8" for round base plates, 1/2" for rectangular base plates) and a cable hole to suit. Clean again, fill the bolt holes with marine sealant and seal the cable hole. Install with appropriate bolts and backing washers, without over-tightening and damaging the surfaces.
- Attach the mounting plate for your electronics (sold separately) to the universal plate. Plates larger than 9.5" diameter: 6 – 8mm × 16mm flat head cap screws supplied with the mounting plate, flat heads in the countersunk holes, threaded into the universal lower plate with a 5 mm Allen wrench. Smaller plates: see the instructions included with the mounting plate.
- Install the electronics (radar, satdome etc.) to the mounting plate, allowing for cable connections, with the bolts provided by the electronics manufacturer. Use the 4 nylon washers supplied with the mounting plate between the powder coated plate and the bolt heads, then continue per the electronics manufacturer's instructions.
