Forespar Hoyt Jib Boom System — Typical Rigging Arrangement

Typical Hoyt Jib Boom Rigging Arrangement

  • The curved Hoyt jib boom is mounted on deck aft of the headstay; the jib clew is tied to a fitting at the outboard end of the boom.
  • Outhaul: from the clew fitting at the boom end, along the boom to a turning block at the boom base, then aft along the deck.
  • Furling: the furling line leaves the unit on the headstay above the deck, runs through a turning block on the toe rail and then aft along the deck alongside the outhaul.
  • The sheet (D111) carries only this side-view drawing, labelled "Typical Hoyt jib boom rigging arrangement", with the outhaul and furling leads named; no part numbers or dimensions are printed.
