‡ If double stacked, the upper organizer is two-thirds of the listed MWL and breaking load. Composite top plate, glass-filled nylon sheaves with flared bases that lift lines off the deck, journal bearings.

Do not triple stack organizers. Stacking puts more leverage load on the deck through the longer screws: lead lower-loaded lines through the upper sheaves or choose a larger organizer.

  • Position the organizer so it bisects the angle of the lines; otherwise the MWL is reduced.
  • Through-bolt every sheave's fasteners with nuts and large washers or backing plates into solid deck. Cored decks need solid inserts such as G-10 plates.
  • Bed the holes in sealant; a slight bevel at the top of the hole lets the sealant mass.

Mount to solid deck with the specified fasteners in all holes, plus nuts, washers or backing plates, or the organizer can fail.

Maintenance

  • Periodically inspect organizers and fasteners for wear, corrosion and loosening; check the deck for weakening.
  • The organizer does not come apart: replace it if a sheave is worn or does not turn.
  • Flush often with fresh water; periodically clean with mild detergent and rinse. Keep teak cleaner and caustics off.
