Drum: the overall drum dimension shown on the plan. Large versions use the drum of the next size up on the same swivel and loads.

What the Plans Show

  • KF1.5 to KF8.0 (V3 standard): silicone protection on swivel and drum, fast pin and, on most sizes, a carbon wheel; KF1.5 to KF6.0 show a K Snap at the drum and a thimble option, KF4.5 to KF8.0 lashing endings.
  • KF10.0 V3: carbon wheel with wood cover, stainless steel body, new fast pin and silicone protection; the thimble option is drawn separately with its own dimensions.
  • KF12.0: fast pin mechanism, carbon wheel, silicone protection and lashing eyes top and bottom.
  • KF0.9: black anodised aluminium; snap shackle at the drum, fast pin opening, ø6 mm furling line. The plan notes a swivel weight of 86 g and a weight of 262 g including the snap shackle.

How to Read the Plans

  • Each download is a one-page Karver technical plan for one size, with the title block repeated in French and English.
  • All dimensions are in millimetres. Read sizes from the dimension figures only: the drawing scale printed in the title block applies to the original sheet, not to a screen or a scaled printout.
  • The title block gives the designation, the Maximum Working Load (Charge de travail), the Breaking Load (Charge de rupture), the mass (Masse) and the Karver part code (Type + Famille + Code, with the version letter in brackets where there is one).
  • When ordering a spare or a complete unit, quote the full part code including the letter in brackets: it identifies the version.
