Horizontal (HR, "round the mast"): often used for self-tacking jibs and on multihull mainsheet tracks.
Vertical concave (VC, "ends up"): self-tacking jibs and mainsheet tracks; the car runs to the end as the control line is eased.
Vertical convex (VX, "ends down"): track follows the deck curve; not very efficient, the car tries to stay central.
