  • Kit: 1 transmitter (with 2 × CR2430), 1 receiver, 2 connectors, 2 brackets + 2 screws, 1 lanyard, user manual.
  • Drawing 312976-312977: transmitter 114 × 60 × 20 mm, grey RAL 7012; receiver 125 (111 body) × 77 (65) × 23.5 mm, black RAL 9005. Cases ABS/PS, buttons elastomeric silicone.
  • FCC ID 2AUL7-633624; IC 8220A. Transmitter and receiver are also sold as individual spare parts.

Installation & Connections

  1. Turn off the power supply to the thruster or equipment being connected.
  2. Fit the receiver in a dry, accessible area (preferably not in the bilge); to use the 2 brackets, replace the 2 screws on the back of the receiver with the 2 M2.5 x 16 screws supplied. For a thruster, behind one of its control panels is ideal.
  3. Connect the receiver to 12 or 24V DC. Respect polarity: reversing it irreversibly damages the receiver. Fuse the positive with a 1A fuse.
  4. Connect outputs 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the equipment (see the annexed diagrams for a windlass or thruster). Outputs are isolated volt-free contacts up to 24V and 5A.

Fit the receiver away from large metal objects, motors and high-current cables. Supply it from the main service battery bank (a separate bank for control circuits is advised), kept charged. The wiring examples cover a Lofrans windlass with a 3-terminal motor and Max Power thrusters.

Pairing

  1. Connect the receiver to 12/24V.
  2. Gently press the SYNC button once with a small screwdriver: the LED lights up.
  3. Press the 2 buttons to be activated simultaneously (an authorised pair): the LED flashes. They are now paired to outputs 1 & 2.
  4. For more commands repeat step 3; outputs are assigned in numerical order, in pairs.
  5. Turn the receiver off for 5 seconds, then power it on: the LED flashes once.
  • Each receiver handles a maximum of 4 channels (2 pairs of buttons). To use all 8 channels of the transmitter, fit a second receiver and pair it the same way.
  • Reset: press SYNC (LED on), then press the 4 up-down buttons together: the LED flashes and the memory is cleared. Power off 5 seconds and pair again.
  • Extra transmitter or receiver: follow the pairing from step 2. A full system (2 receivers, all 8 channels) can include only 2 transmitters. If in doubt, clear the memory and start again.
  • Typical uses: bow and/or stern thruster port/starboard, windlass up/down, retractable thruster up/down.

Battery Change & Troubleshooting

  1. Switch off the equipment's power first, to avoid accidental activation.
  2. Remove the 4 screws and the back of the transmitter.
  3. Replace both batteries with new CR2430, polarity correct.
  4. Refit the back and tighten the screws gently with the rubber membrane seated so it stays waterproof.

Change the batteries at the start of each season; wrong battery type risks explosion.

Problem Check
The receiver's LED doesn't light up Check the power supply to the receiver
The transmitter's LEDs do not light up Check the transmitter's batteries and the polarity
The remote control doesn't work Check the connections of the receiver's relay outputs
The remote control works intermittently Check the voltage of the battery bank powering the radio receiver

Warranty: 2 years for leisure-boat use (6 months for other uses).
