Fitting the Swivel

  1. Chain → swivel → shackle → anchor: Maxwell recommends a shackle between the swivel and the anchor to eliminate side loading of the swivel.
  2. Apply thread lock compound to the screws when fitting.

The sheet (Drw No. 7787 rev.2.00) is printed four times on one page so it can be cut and packed with each swivel.

Warnings

  • Not intended for overhead lifting.
  • Do not connect the swivel straight to the anchor: without the shackle the swivel is side loaded.
