Parts: male part, swivel and T-bone. The loop is not provided. This manual covers fitting the T-bone; for installation on the mast, refer to a skilled professional.
Fitting the Halyard & T-bone
- Halyard fitting: pass the halyard through the swivel and the male part. On the mast, the male part must be positioned above the halyard exit.
- Halyard on the T-bone: make a splice at the end of the halyard and place the T-bone inside the spliced eye.
- Halyard on the dogbone: attach the T-bone to the halyard through the T-bone slots. The whipping must sit above the T-bone as shown (use the male part as the reference) and must be tight.
Check the halyard does not exceed the maximum diameter for your model (see table).
Cover, Maintenance & Warnings
- If you use a swivel lock protection cover, check its lanyards do not prevent the swivel lock from operating freely, nor the dogbone from rotating freely.
- Maintenance: rinse often with fresh water.
- Warning: never use the swivel to climb the mast or to lift a load.
