(1) Except the 15–20V DC battery-save zone on 24V DC systems. Microcontroller-managed with a digital water filter and delays against false cycling as the boat rolls.

Mounting

  • Choose the EBSN for the pump's maximum current under working conditions.
  • Mount it vertically, power cable upwards, with two screws through the side slots; use the slots to set sensor height against the pump pick-up so the compartment drains fully during the 20-second switch-off delay.
  • On metal or other conductive bulkheads use non-conductive screws, washers and brackets.
  • Opening or tampering with the unit voids the warranty.

Wiring

  • Make all connections before powering up.
  • Fit a fast-acting fuse on the supply line rated for the pump's maximum current.
  • All joints between the EBSN leads (brown, blue, grey, black, red) and the boat wiring must be watertight or in a watertight box with a suitable IP rating.
  • The optional push-button can only be fitted together with the optional LED. A change-over switch allows direct pump operation (A) or operation via the EBSN (B).

Automatic & Manual

  • Pump on: water in continuous contact with both sensors for longer than 5 seconds.
  • Pump off: when one or both sensors are dry for longer than 5 seconds, a 15-second switch-off period starts (as printed; the data table gives a 20 sec switch-off delay).
  • Battery save: no pump start below 9V DC on 12V systems, or between 15V and 20V DC on 24V systems.
  • Manual (optional button): press for more than 1 second and release to start; press again to stop. It stops automatically after 8 minutes and returns to automatic.
  • Maintenance: clean the stainless steel sensors periodically.

LED Signals (optional LED or panel)

LED Meaning
Off No supply voltage
Slow flashes No water, pump off
Almost always lit, briefly off Water present, pump on
Always lit Manual mode, pump on even without water (8 minute maximum)
Rapid flashing Switch-on or switch-off delay
Two quick flashes Battery save: check battery charge and supply cable sizing
Three quick flashes Pump still signalling water 8 minutes after switch-on: normal, a pump problem, EBSN needs service, or water persistently present

At power-up the LED lights for 2 seconds, then shows the operating status.
