Swivel to Anchor

  • Parts: A swivel body, B short dowels, C milled pin for the chain, D roller for the anchor (not in OS 8-10), E pin, F long dowel. Supplied with a 2mm Allen key and 10 ml threadlocker.
  1. Insert roller D into the hole at the end of the anchor shank (not OS 8-10).
  2. Place the anchor eye in the swivel pocket the right way round: the Olympic anchor's tooth must rest on the flat inside the swivel.
  3. Push the anchor pin fully home in the seat marked with the reference circle.
  4. Threadlock the long M4 dowels and tighten them with the Allen key until the pin cannot slide.

Swivel to Chain

  1. Insert the chain into the swivel seat.
  2. Push the chain pin fully home, oriented as shown (mind the hole).
  3. Threadlock the short M4 dowels and tighten until the pin cannot slide.

Quick does not guarantee swivel and anchor performance if assembled incorrectly. Do not use galvanised chain (rust residue).

Self-Tilting Retrieval

  1. Weigh the anchor with the windlass control.
  2. Stop the windlass before the anchor reaches the bow roller.
  3. Operate the retrieve control 2–3 times (short taps): the swivel tilts the anchor into the correct position.
  4. Finish retrieving the anchor.

Maintenance

  • Rinse salt deposits off with fresh water; grease the swivel head body (G).
  • Inspect once a year (more often with constant use). Surface marks on the neck (H) do not affect operation, but its diameter must not fall below the original size: if it decreases, replace the swivel.
