Technical Data

The model number is not the motor output: PT 350 = 150 W, PT 700 = 250 W, PT 1000 = 350 W. R = reel (anchor rode), G = flat strap (lifting a tender).

Deck thickness: 20 ÷ 40 mm (3/4" ÷ 1" 9/16). (1) After an initial period of use. (2) Measured with 6 mm rope. (3) Minimum value for a total cable length L ≤ 20 m; size the cable for the actual run. (4) DC circuit breaker, delayed-action (thermal-magnetic or hydraulic-magnetic). Studs for thicker decks on request.

Dimensions mm (inch)

  • PT R and PT G: 294 (11 37/64), 173 (6 13/16) and 220 (8 43/64).
  • PTR with the bow-roller accessory (as printed: only models 350 – 1000): 596 (23 29/64) overall length; other dimensions 308 (12 9/64), 231 (9 7/64), 148 (5 53/64), 220 (8 43/64).

Electrical System

  • PT 350 R / PT 350 G: the reversing contactor is integrated; wire battery → hydraulic-magnetic circuit breaker → windlass. Cable size is for L = L1 + L2 + L3.
  • PT 700 / PT 1000 (R and G): a separate reversing contactor unit is supplied, shown as mod. T6411-12 (12V) in the diagrams (also for the 24 V PT 1000, as printed). Cable size is for L = L1 + L2 + L3 + L4 + L5. Install the contactor away from water.
  • Control circuit fuse: 4 A (12 V), 2 A (24 V).
  • Recommended Quick accessories: RL control board (mod. 800 – WCS 810), watertight hand-held remote HRC1002, foot switch (mod. 900, 900U/900D), strap-roller with spring catch (PTG only), hydraulic-magnetic circuit breaker, chain counter CHC 1102 M, RRC radio control (R02, P02, H02).
  • Fit at least two controls, so the windlass can still be run if one is damaged. View HRC 1002 →

Before You Drill

  • In the box: PTR or PTG windlass, reversing contactor unit (700/1000 only), 30 m (98 ft) Dyneema "chain" (PTR only, as printed), drill template, bolts and screws, manual, warranty.
  • Tools: Ø 9 mm (23/64") and Ø 15 mm (63/64", as printed) drill bits; 13 mm hex wrench.
  • PTG: align the flat strap (the windlass centre) with the hook of the tender to be lifted.
  • PTR: align the reel with the bow roller; the roller must lean out past the bow (or stern) so the anchor runs up and down without obstruction.
  • Upper and lower deck faces as parallel as possible, or the installation may be unsafe; deck thickness within the table range, otherwise consult a Quick dealer.

Fitting Procedure

  • Choose on-deck or wall mounting, then drill with the drill template.
  • Open the passage, then finish and seal it (marine paint, gel coat or two-pack epoxy).
  • Position the windlass with a clear run for the power and control cables, and screw the studs into it.
  • Connect the windlass cables to the reversing contactor unit, or to the battery where the contactor is integrated.

Safety and Maintenance

  • The PT is built to weigh the anchor; it is not designed for storm loads. Switch it off when not in use and check for swimmers before dropping anchor.
  • At anchor, make the rope fast to a stopper or bollard; the windlass must not be the only securing device. Under way, switch the breaker off and secure the rope.
  • Switch off the motor power before any manual work and take the rope off the reel.
  • Wash salt deposits off with fresh water regularly.

Drill Template

The Pontoon series drilling template (PTR 350/700/1000) is in the downloads, with the Ø 9 mm stud holes and the cut-out. Print it at 100% and check the 100 mm reference line before drilling.
