Mounting & Wiring

  • Mounts on a DIN rail; install on a vertical surface for ventilation, inside a protected distribution panel that unauthorised people cannot reach, away from rain, dust and humidity.
  • Always fit a fast-acting 3A fuse on the driver supply. Disconnect the power before installing or servicing.
  • Control signal cable (5-pole connector): max 100 metres (328'), max cross section 2.5mm².
  • Driver to lights: shielded CAT5e (FTP) Ethernet cable with RJ-45 male-to-male connectors (not supplied), max 25 metres (82') with RJ45 extensions; close the line with the RJ45 terminator.
  • Cleaning: damp cloth on the front only, no corrosive substances, no liquids on the unit; power off first.

Fitting the Downlights

  1. Drill the hole given in the table for your downlight.
  2. Connect it as in the wiring diagram and test that it works.
  3. Spring models: position the springs as shown and push the light into the hole. Screw models: fix it to the panel with self-tapping screws (not supplied).
  4. Press the frame onto the light. On the Chiara QNN the frame screws on clockwise.
