  • Output 13,5 Vdc ± 0,5Vcc; stability 1%; ripple 30mV rms. Input 20 ÷ 30 Vdc. Efficiency 85%. Natural cooling; humidity max. 95% without condensation; aluminium case.
  • Protections: reverse output polarity (through diode), output short circuit (through fuse), output overvoltage (through zener diode). EMC ECE/ONU N.10/02 (Directive 95/54 CE).
  • (1) Continuous operation. (2) Intermittent operation: 1 min ON, 1 min OFF at 20 °C ambient.

Location

  • Fixed indoor installation, dry and ventilated, as near the batteries as possible.
  • Horizontal or vertical with the cables coming out downwards; vertical is recommended for convection cooling.
  • At least 5 cm between the unit (except its base) and walls or objects; the base must withstand 80°C (at 40°C ambient).
  • The case is the heat sink and can get very hot: let it cool before handling.

Wiring

  • 24 V battery to V in +24 Vdc and GND; 12 V equipment to V out +13,5 Vdc and GND (Fig. 1).
  • Size cables for the run length to avoid excessive voltage drop. Check input and output polarity: reversal can seriously damage the unit even though it is fused.
  • Make sure cables are not live before connecting or disconnecting; undersized cables or poor joints can overheat dangerously.
  • Maintenance: none; check cables and connections once a year. Opening by unauthorised personnel voids the warranty.
