Requirements
- Check the structure under the stopper is sized for all the loads involved.
- Align the stopper on the chain centre-line, and in height with the chain centre-line (H): use a suitable holder (pad) underneath to make up any difference.
- Upper and lower deck surfaces as parallel as possible; otherwise compensate with the holder.
- Tools: Allen key, ratcheting wrench, drill, pencil, drill template. Stainless A4 class 80 screws and nuts. The tensioning system is a necessary accessory.
- This manual covers the stopper only; install and use the windlass per its own manual.

Indicative torques: assess them against the materials being fastened.
Weighing Anchor
- Hook the tensioning system (1) onto the first available chain link (2).
- Turn the tensioning system handwheel (3) to take the load off the chain stop.
- Rotate the handle (4) to swing the chain stop fork (5) clear.
- With the fork released, unscrew the tensioning system to release the chain.

Maintenance
- Switch off the windlass motor power before working manually on the stopper.
- Wash off salt deposits with fresh water.
- Once a year check the stopper roller (spool) turns freely without tight spots; grease with marine grease if needed.
- Main parts: 1 chain stop fork, 2 tensioning system, 3 spool, 4 base.
