Furlex Electric control boxes work with the MK2 system only with software update 349-1043-2.0.0 or higher.

Installation

  • Fit circuit breakers so power to winches, furlers etc. can be cut when the boat is unattended.
  • Install the remote in parallel with conventional push buttons so every function can still be worked normally.
  • Receiver supply 12 or 24V (adapts automatically); fuse to suit the cable size. Mount it in a protected place with the cable entries lowest.
  • Built-in antenna: range about 15m in a GRP boat. On metal boats an external antenna connector can be soldered in place of the built-in one.
  • Eight normally open relays, max. 4A each, for control current only: DC motors and hydraulic valve solenoids must go through their own control boxes.
  • Control inputs work in parallel with the radio signal, for the cables from the normal push buttons.
  • With a Furlex Electric control box (software 349-1043-2.0.0 or higher) and the plug-in receiver card, one transmitter can be linked to both the 4-function receiver and the single-function card; the button pressed while linking sets which row drives the single function (see 595-926).
Terminal Connection
1-2 Power supply 12 – 24V
3-4 Switch for lit buttons (jumper if always lit)
5-6 Button lighting
7-8 Cables to push buttons (power supply; 7 is the same as 8)
9-16 Cables from push buttons
17-32 To the control boxes of the units controlled

Channels

  • "CH" LED on the receiver board lit = 434,33 MHz; not lit = 433,92 MHz.
  • Switch receiver frequency: press LEARN four times, max 1 s between presses.
  • Transmitter to 434,33 MHz: press the four top buttons (rows one and two) together for at least four seconds.
  • Transmitter to 433,92 MHz: press the four lower buttons (rows three and four) together for at least four seconds.

Linking Transmitters

  1. Press and hold LEARN on the receiver board until the LEARN LED lights, then release.
  2. Press any button on the remote: the LED flashes to confirm. Row 1 now drives outputs 1-in and 1-out, and so on.
  • Add more transmitters the same way, up to eight.
  • To clear all transmitters, hold LEARN about 10 seconds until the LED flashes.

Diagnostics & Fault Finding

Problem Recommended action
Nothing works from the transmitter Check receiver power; check transmitter battery; check both are on the same channel; try switching frequencies; un-program the receiver and re-link the transmitter
Poor range Try switching frequencies; check the transmitter battery
Some buttons do not work Check whether the function works by push button; listen for the relays clicking; check for faulty wiring

A blinking "Learn" LED on the receiver board indicates a faulty power supply to the receiver.
