Mast Coat Fitting (595-230-E)

Final positioning is done with the mast stepped. Tools: pencil, sharp knife or scissors.

  1. Slide the mast coat into position so it stands on the deck ring.
  2. Draw a line around the mast at the top edge of the mast coat.
  3. Push the mast coat away from the line (up or down).
  4. Place rubber tape 530-471 with its upper edge on the pencil line, starting and finishing at the front of the mast.
  5. Cut the tape so the ends overlap by approximately 10 mm.
  6. Pull the mast coat gently into place over the tape (a screwdriver can serve as a shoehorn).
  7. Fit the clip over the mast coat and tighten it hard; fit the large clip around the deck ring.
