DESCRIPTION

On a keel-stepped mast the deck ring is the collar at deck level that holds the mast where it passes through the deck. Seldén's deck ring locks the mast with shaped rubber wedges, seals the opening, and takes a tie rod so that halyard loads pull on the tie rod instead of lifting the deck.

This is the deck ring for boats fitted with Seldén's hydraulic mast jack, which lifts the mast from inside to set rig tension. Seldén's mast jack manual pairs deck ring 533-024 with mast sections C285, F286, C304 and F305 and their carbon equivalents CC285 and CC303. Weight 7.65 kg (16.87 lb).

Seldén's part description for this one ends in "(2", the same marker used on the two-piece block shaft version of every other deck ring in this range. The plain mast jack ring for the same sections is 533-024-10.
