Shape the lower end of the tube to the deck angle and chain plate so sheets and lines cannot snag; slit the tube if the chain plate is wider than the tube.
Place the top bushing halves around the stay and push them into the tube until the snap fastener engages.
Use the screws supplied with thread-lock.
Adapter (A) does not clear the rigging screw toggle: fit it before assembling the rigging screw to the shroud.
A few turns of tape on the stay just above the top bushing hold the tube down against the deck.
