Runner & Checkstay Arrangement
- Runner and checkstay share a Selden block PS 1 (538-506) on the runner; the block is seized in place, with 1 turn of fabric tape.
- Where runner and checkstay pass the mast they are protected and kept in place with fabric tape.
- Stow the runner with shock cord around the front face of the mast.
- A stopping knot limits mast bend chord depth to approx. 2% of the main luff length (P). The drawing shows 2000 between the runner block and the checkstay tackle.
