Calculating XL (SPL - FL = XL)

Extrusion Extrusion length XL
48/48 SPL - (90 + 90)
60/60 SPL - (110 + 110)
72/72 SPL - (90 + 90)
84/84 SPL - (110 + 110)
96/96 SPL - (130 + 130)

SPL = spinnaker pole length, FL = pole end allowance at each end.

Assembly

  1. Mark the calculated length (paper wrapped round the tube for a square line), cut and chamfer.
  2. Slide in the plastic pole savers; insert the pole ends.
  3. Mark the screw holes per PS735 for pole end 534-865 or PS736 for 534-854; drill Ø 4 through extrusion and pole ends.
  4. Fit the pole ends with the screws.
  5. Push the savers against the pole ends and lock them by deforming the tracks with a screwdriver.
  6. Mark the midpoint, drill two holes and fit the lift eyes.
