Marking the Wire
- Template V-1117 is recommended: insert the wire into the matching tube (3-16mm) against the end stop and make two marks across and one along the wire.
- Without the template, use the terminal: mark (1) at the terminal hole depth, then mark (2) 2x the wire diameter back from (1), joined by a line along the wire.
Marking the Terminal
- Lay the wire alongside the terminal with mark (1) at its edge; mark the terminal at the wire end (3).
- Turn the terminal 90° and mark (4), the start point for swaging.
- Push the wire fully in: mark (1) must still be visible.
Swaging and Checks
- Start swaging at mark (4), with mark (1) at the terminal edge. After swaging only mark (2) should be visible.
- Measure the diameter in 3 places: 90° to the "wings" and close to the wings on each side; the smallest must be within table 1.
- If the swaged wire goes into a Furlex, swage the terminal two times to make it round, turning it 90° first.
