Before You Drill

  • Print the PDF at actual size (1:1, no scaling) and verify the printed scale of the template before attempting any installation.
  • The small "top view" on the S/E templates is a reduced drawing (marked 1:2 or 1:3) for orientation only – drill from the full-size outline.
  • Each template shows the line load direction and the winch drive gear: orient the template so the line enters on the load side.
  • The older Winch 30 to 52 templates mark the rope entry position on the drum for optimal performance.
  • Mark the hole centres, use a smaller drill for marking, then drill to the size for through-bolting or for tapping.
