Fitting

Use 4 × M6 (1/4") pan head fasteners on every SUA.
Seal to the deck with pure silicone sealant. Do not use polysulphide or polyurethane sealants – they can damage the SUA materials.
Keep rope entry and exit alignment to a minimum, as guided at installation.

The fastener table in the instructions lists "PAN HEAD DIN7991" (as printed); the drill guides give 4 × M6 PAN HD (1/4").

Release the rope safely by controlling it on a winch.
Never flick the handle open when the jammer is heavily loaded: the sudden release can cause injury and damage rope, rig and jammer.
Wash with fresh water to remove rope and dirt debris.
Lubricate the handle/cam bearing with silicone grease spray.

Fixings are 16 mm from the edge on the 22 mm side. The line drawings in the instructions are not to scale; use the drill guides.

One drill guide each for the SUA/1 (single), SUA/2 (double) and SUA/3 (triple), all dimensions in mm.
The guides do not state a scale: print at actual size, never "fit to page", and measure the printed fixing centres before drilling.

Check the product is correctly specified for your application, load and line size, and that it is correctly installed before its first use under load.
Braided fibre rope only – never three-strand or wire rope. Never use the product if it is damaged or worn, or with damaged rope.
Never use cleaning or lubricating solvents, polysulphide or polyurethane based sealants: they degrade the product. Do not modify any part.
