Control panel: 72 (2 13/16") square, cut-out ø 57 (2 1/4"), 4 × ø 4,5 (3/16") fixing holes; toilet dimensions in the drawing in the PDF.

  • Only for faeces and toilet paper: no cotton wool, tampons, sanitary towels, condoms, hair, oil or other liquids.
  • Never put your hands in the bowl outlet: the macerator blades are not covered. Never work on the electrical system while it is live. Keep rubber gloves on board for cleaning.

Installation

  • Install to local regulations: in some areas pumping waste straight overboard is not permitted.
  • Mount on a floor strong enough to avoid point loads that could split the bowl (reinforce with multiplex if needed); use the toilet as a template and the fasteners supplied.
  • Outlet: hose connector Q on the bowl outlet with clamp H; 19 mm ID drain hose (e.g. VETUS no-smell sanitary hose) with clamps. The connector turns to route the hose left, right, down or up; its bend can be cut off to run the drain upwards.
  • Water supply: ball valve with 3/4" connection, always accessible. A pressure system must give at least 1.5 bar (22 psi); otherwise, or with outside water, fit a supply pump of at least 10 litres/minute (2.2 Imp.Gal/min; 2.7 US Gal/min). Filter outside water well.
  • If the toilet is below, or less than 40 cm (16") above, the waterline, fit an air-relief valve at the highest point of the outlet against siphoning.
  • Electrical: check the motor type plate voltage; batteries with enough capacity; switch and fuse in the + wire; wire at least 6 mm2 (12 V) or 4 mm2 (24 V). Red +, black −.
  • Control panel: fit the build-in flange with packing in the wall, connect the flat cables, cover the plug connection and click the panel in with its O-ring.
  • Test: open the supply valve fully, run a cycle, then run one with a few pieces of toilet paper, and check all connections for leaks.

Use and Maintenance

  • Supply ball valve open. ECO button: short flush (1,2 litres), about 10 seconds. NORMAL button: long flush (2,2 litres), about 20 seconds. Each cycle is a flushing phase (magnetic valve) then a pumping phase (macerator).
  • Close the ball valve after use; rinse with clean water a few times if the toilet has not been used for a while.
  • Winter: close the water supply, pump the bowl empty by holding the pump-symbol button, pour about 2 litres of antifreeze into the bowl and drain the pipes. Antifreeze is toxic: never discharge it overboard.
  • Descale at least twice a year: close the supply, pump empty, leave about 1 litre of vinegar or scale remover in the bowl for some hours, then run several cycles. No sodium-based unblockers or solvents. Rinse with fresh water now and then if flushing with seawater.

Troubleshooting

Fault Possible cause Solution
Cycle runs but water is pumped out very slowly or not at all Outlet pipe blocked Descale the outlet pipe.
Cycle runs but a lot of water is left in the bowl Discharge height too great; outlet pipe blocked Modify the installation; descale the outlet.
Motor makes a rattling noise Hard object in the sieve hitting the blades Remove the object.
Cycle does not run when the button is pressed No power; loose plug connection to the control panel; control electronics fault Check main switch and fuse; repair the connection; replace the control electronics.
Water flows into the bowl too slowly Magnetic valve filter blocked; water pressure too low Clean the filter; ensure at least 1.5 bar (22 psi).
No water flows into the bowl Supply stopcock closed; faulty magnetic valve; pressure too low Open the stopcock; replace the magnetic valve; ensure at least 1.5 bar (22 psi).
