Interface Types

Interface Function
EP46844 Second water temperature or oil pressure gauge (slave instrument) with one single sensor in the engine block View part →
EP46845 Warning lamp and/or buzzer for high coolant temperature, one single sensor View part →
EP46846 Warning lamp and/or buzzer for low oil pressure, one single sensor View part →
EP412326 Warning light and/or buzzer for a virtually full waste water tank, with a float in the tank View part →
EP46847 Second temperature gauge (slave) plus high coolant temperature warning, one single sensor View part →
EP46848 Second oil pressure gauge (slave) plus low oil pressure warning, one single sensor View part →
  • All interfaces suit 12 and 24 Volts.
  • Maximum current for a warning lamp and/or buzzer: 200 mA.
  • On all warning interfaces the warning level is adjustable on the interface.

Fitting and Factory Settings

  • The interface fits onto the back of the gauge after the gauge is mounted in the dashboard; note the gauge connections (drawing 1) and wire as the diagram.
  • Factory alarm points at 12 Volts: EP46845 / EP46847 at 98 °C coolant temperature; EP46846 / EP46848 at 0.5 Bar oil pressure and less; EP412326 when the waste tank is virtually full.
  • On a 24 Volt boat, or for a different alarm point, re-adjust as described.

Adjusting the Alarm Point

  1. Switch off the supply voltage.
  2. Remove the sensor wire from the SENSOR terminal and connect a 500 Ohm potentiometer between SENSOR and – (negative).
  3. Turn the trim potentiometer on the interface fully to the right.
  4. Switch on and set the 500 Ohm potentiometer so the gauge shows the temperature (or pressure) at which you want the alarm.
  5. Turn the interface trim potentiometer to the left until the lamp and/or buzzer operates.
  6. Vary the 500 Ohm potentiometer and check the alarm switches at the correct value.
  7. Switch off, remove the 500 Ohm potentiometer and reconnect the sensor wire.
