Install in a dry, well-ventilated space, never outside. Check the supply voltage (12 or 24 Volt). Installation and maintenance by qualified personnel only.

Mounting and Wiring

  • Rudder shaft and feedback unit axis must rotate in the same direction.
  • The unit arm follows the tiller closely and both move in one plane.
  • The connecting rod must move freely through every rudder movement.
  • Connect supply, feedback unit and the readout instrument LED as the wiring diagram (sensor signal, red light, yellow light), and run a cable to each instrument. Incorrect connections can damage the instrument.

Blue S1
Black (unused) S2 = S1 / -1
Red Negative connection (negative earth)

Calibration

  1. Switch on the power supply.
  2. Turn the rudder so the needle moves anti-clockwise (to the right), then to the outermost rudder position.
  3. Press button (A) on the back of the instrument for 3 seconds: the LED on the dial flashes (calibration mode).
  4. Turn the rudder to the centre position.
  5. Briefly press (A) to confirm: maximum rudder angle and centre are stored.
  6. Move the rudder and check the indication.

Resetting the settings

  1. Switch on feedback unit and instrument; carefully loosen the S1 connection.
  2. Press (A) for 3 seconds; release when the light on the back flashes.
  3. Wait 2 seconds, briefly press (A).
  4. Switch both off and on again, then calibrate again as above.
