Material: titanium and stainless steel. C is the hole diameter to drill in the deck; D is the range shown along the barrel in the drawing (see the PDF). *Loads are given in the direction of the arrow (straight up out of the barrel); any other direction may reduce the admissible load and the user must apply an additional safety coefficient.
- Always use a soft loop suitable for the load indicated on the padeye.
- Marking: working load and manufacturer logo on the flange, serial number on the underside.
Wichard: not for lifting application or PPE.
Installation
- Choose the location (be careful of deck thickness) and drill the support to the diameter C of your padeye.
- Apply a marine-grade waterproof sealant between the collar of the barrel (1) and the support, then place the padeye in the hole.
- Lock the lower nut (2) with an open-end wrench, using the holes to hold the barrel (1) while tightening. Always choose a deck thickness adapted to the load of the padeye, or fit a reinforcement.
- Once the sealant has set, unscrew the upper part (3) and insert the loop on the Tbone (4).
- Put the loop and Tbone back in the barrel (1) and screw it back in. Pay attention to the direction of the Tbone.
Use & Care
- Use thread locker on the screwed parts to prevent untimely loosening, following the thread locker manufacturer's instructions.
- Tighten the parts with a hook wrench and an open-end wrench.
- For wintering or prolonged non-use, close the padeye with the cap (5).
- Inspect and clean regularly, especially inside, where dirt could hinder the rotation of the Tbone.
