The System
- Recirculating ball-bearing cars for full-batten mainsails, to raise, lower and reef easily; combined with a lazy bag for short-handed sailing.
- Cars CNC-machined from one block of aluminium. Headboard cars FT10, FT20, FT30, FT40 fit the existing headboard or a ring; batten cars FL10 to FL40; intermediate cars FI10 to FI40. Batten cars FL10, FL20, FL30 come with Torlon® balls and a safety-clip device; toggle with large articulation fits most batten boxes.
- Car models can be mixed to lower the stack height when the sail is down (Facnor patent).
- Tracks fit alongside the existing mast with slugs, without unstepping or modifying it. FR+ 25 x 15 tracks for F10-20-30 cars: 2 m long, black anodized 40 microns. FR40 tracks for F40 cars: 1,7 m long, colorless anodization.
- Top and bottom stoppers delivered in the kit: EB15 (F10, 20, 30), ER40 (F40).
- Options: gaff lock (mainsail autolocking, 2T5 and 4T); F40 outhaul foot car for the boom (ref. 540 204 008 20).
- Rinse the cars with fresh water: even 10 m up they receive sea water. Facnor advice: once a year put a drop of washing-up liquid on the car balls.
