How to Choose a DTX or Delta Anchor
DTX or Delta
- DTX: 316 stainless steel, lead ballasted tip for fast setting, rated Ordinary Holding Power, 3-year warranty, 6 to 63 kg.
- Delta®: high-grade manganese steel (galvanized) or Duplex stainless steel, Lloyd's Register General Approval of an Anchor Design as a High Holding Power anchor, guaranteed for life against breakage. Galvanized 4 to 63 kg, stainless 6 to 63 kg.
- Delta: self-launching shank profile and ballasted tip; low centre of gravity and self-righting geometry so it sets immediately.
Read the selection chart
- Find your boat length overall and pick the anchor weight whose bar covers it.
- The lighter shading at the end of each bar is the upper limit of that weight. If in doubt, move up a model.
- Each weight comes with a recommended chain size: match it to your windlass gypsy.
- Guidance only: for certification, consult the relevant Classification Society. Dimensions are subject to ±2% tolerance.
