Cruising Furlers C260 – C530

• Step 1: define your sailing program: cruising or racing-cruising.
• Step 2: measure accurately the diameter of the forestay (table below).
• Step 3: choose one of the fitting systems described on page 14 of the catalogue.

• Extrusion length: 2 m. C290 to C530 use halyard swivel systems; round, silver anodised profile.
• C260: no removable drum, no feeder, double luff groove, luff line Ø 6 mm; no pre-feeder, long link plates, turnbuckle cylinder or stainless locking devices.
• C290: no removable drum, no feeder, single luff groove, turnbuckle cylinder as standard.
• C320 to C530: removable drum, feeder, double luff groove; turnbuckle cylinder, long link plates and luff rope pre-feeder as options.
• Luff line Ø: 5 mm (C290 to C430), 6 mm (C480 to C530).
• Stainless steel locking devices: option on all models but the C430; specific locking devices for C480, C520 and C530.
• 10 year world wide warranty.

* If using a swageless eye, you must take both the maximum sail surface area and the drum capacity into consideration. The C290, C320, C350, C420 and C520 can hold an increased forestay diameter: for an 8 mm forestay you can choose a C320 instead of a C350.

Racing Furlers R250 – R480

• Black anodised aerofoil profile, 2 m extrusions, halyard swivel systems.
• All models: removable drum, feeder, opening pre-feeder, double luff groove. Long link plates and turnbuckle cylinder are options.
• Stainless steel locking devices: option for all models but the R430; specific locking devices for the R480.
• The R250 is the official furling system of the J80 class, available complete or as a kit to be mounted on Harken extrusions; its swivel uses ceramic bearings.

NEX Flying Sail and Spinex Top-Down Furlers

• FurlAssist ratchet feature: option on every NEX model.
• Spinex = NEX spool and swivel + anti-twist cable, soft sleeves, tack swivel and end fittings such as the thimble.
• Spin Kit turns an existing NEX furler (NEX 0.9 to NEX 8.0) into an asymmetric spinnaker furler: anti-twist cable, soft sleeves, upper and lower end fittings.

NEXeLite 4.0 and NEXe 8.0 Motorized Flying Sail Furlers

• A motorization conversion kit (gear box only, you keep your current swivel) converts a manual flying sail furler; available for both models.
• Options: wired remote controller part # 53320, radio remote controller part # 53310.

Spliced Furling Lines – Standard Lengths

Polyester braid, beige. The fairleads supplied with the headsail lines are Wichard parts (articulated fairlead 21120, single fairlead 20120, for 25 mm stanchions).
