Selden Deck Hardware Dimensioning Guide

Reading the Charts

  • Each chart plots boat length (ft, 10 to 70) against the block or car size Selden recommends for that position.
  • Block sizes run BBB 20, BBB 30, BBB 40 (ball bearing), PBB 50, PBB 60, PBB 70, PBB 80, PBB 100 (plain bearing) and RBB 60, RBB 80 (roller bearing).
  • Car charts use System 22, System 30 (plain, high load, ball bearing, performance, performance toggle, performance fixed block, single, double) and System 42.
  • Main sheet charts are split by sheeting position: end sheeted (S>90% of E) and mid sheeted (S>50% of E).
  • Where bars overlap, more than one size covers your length.
