DESCRIPTION

A Compact wire (Dyform) can be used for Furlex to achieve 5% less stretch than the standard 1x19 thread wire The Compact wire kit includes a Sta-lok wedge that must be used for a safe installation

FEATURES

  • AISI 316 stainless steel.
  • The purpose of the plastic tube at the top end is to center the wire in the luff extrusion and prevent chafe between wire and top extrusion.
  • This bearing is permanently fixed with a talurit.
  • The newer Furlex models, of the 4th generation, has a purpose made top-guard and do not need the roller.
  • Our recommendation is that the forestay wire is replaced after 20000 nautical miles.
