Furlex 100S and 200S–500S

Discontinued model – documents and spare parts as printed.

  • Centred, insulated forestay and fully insulated joining sleeves: easier furling, less wear, no corrosion risk.
  • Patented load-distributor for easy furling and bearing life; lightweight halyard swivel.
  • Marine stainless sail feeder; composite connector.
  • Tack swivel with a free-turn; twin grooves and split drum for fast sail changes and racing.
  • Line-guide system centres the furling line and spools it evenly on the drum.
  • 200S–500S: optional fully integral rigging screw, adjusting through 60 mm, 80 and 100 mm depending on size.
  • 100S: no internal rigging screw; an optional external rigging screw (6 mm wire) mounts under the drum.

* The male part of this rod terminal is too large to pass through the luff extrusions: the rod can only be cold-headed at its upper end after it has been pulled through the assembled extrusions. The extrusion must be 200 mm (8") shorter than the stay at the top to make room for the cold-heading machine, so extrusion length and sail space are reduced, and the system has to be assembled at the cold-heading machine. ** The upper eye terminal must be of the MNY type.

The two 8 mm rows are the 200S (DH 120) and 300S (DH 147). Max sail space = FL − (E+F); the extension link raises the lower unit above the deck, e.g. to clear a bow anchor.
