Some components can be supplied as extra. Track counts are taken from the kit drawing and the bills of materials below.

Fitting the Boom Kit

1. Fit the slugs with their screws and nuts and set one of the two track end stops. Do not tighten the nuts yet. (FB40: medium threadlocker on the screws, 20 min.)
2. Slide the tracks into the boom, leaving one track protruding. The reinforced track goes at the boom's rear.
3. Join the 2 tracks with the pins, using a soft hammer.
4. Set the outhaul car on the tracks with the shackle towards the bow. Make sure the balls do not fall out of the car.
5. Install the second track end stop.
6. Position the tracks according to the travel you need for the outhaul car.
7. Check there is no gap between the tracks, then tighten the nuts to lock everything.
8. Lead the mainsail outhaul line through the car's sheave, then through the clew sheave of the sail, and attach it to the car's shackle.
