Fitting the Clamp
A – Before assembly
- Thread the torque rope into the two shrinkable thermo-sleeves: the short one first, then the bigger.
- Remove the 4 long screws from the clamp.
- Put the anti-twist rope around the thimble and mark the length (table above).
- Position the clamp approx. 10 mm max. from the thimble.
B – Clamp positioning without a vice
- Fit the clamp on the torque rope with the 4 long screws, tightening progressively in a cross pattern to keep the clamping even.
C – Complete installation
- Grease the short screws (x10, or x14 for the Ø15 model) and fit them to complete the clamp.
D – With a vice
- Close the clamp on the rope in a vice protected with aluminium jaws: in this case you don't need the long screws. Fit the greased short screws (x10, or x14 for Ø15).
E – Final tightening & F – finish
- Tighten the screws evenly in sequence.
- Slide the shrinkable thermo-sleeves over the clamp and shrink them with a heat gun.
