FlatDeck at a Glance

  • The drum is furled by a webbing instead of a rope: the webbing lies flat inside the drum, so no overrides and high torque from the first turn.
  • Low-profile drum with short link plates for maximum luff; 360° rotating tack fitting with Torlon® balls; 360° rotating webbing guide exit; internal turnbuckle fitting as standard.
  • Webbing: polyester FD 90 to FD 190, Dyneema FD 210 to FD 310. The webbing is joined to the furling line by an oblong swivel.
  • Standard kit: drum, internal turnbuckle fitting, short link plates, sections + connections, halyard swivel, webbing/rope kit (furling line swivel, webbing from 10 up to 27 m, standard furling line, 1 articulated lead + stainless single leads, number according to model).
  • LS/RX Facnor drums (and other brands) can be retrofitted with a FlatDeck drum kit, keeping the existing foil sections.
