Selden Ratchet Blocks — Selection Guide

Second-Generation Manual Ratchet Blocks

Ratchet blocks are mainly used for dynamic applications such as sheets on dinghies and keelboats: with the ratchet on, the sheave locks in one direction and you can hold the sheet without cleating it. This generation improves the grip and the switch, runs on lightweight Delrin ball bearings, and the single block comes with a composite sheave (R60) or an aluminium sheave (R60+). The aluminium sheave gives more grip and copes with relatively thin lines.
