The Zhik Hydrophobic Fleece Performance Top is a warm, water-repellent layer for cooler conditions on the water. The fabric is naturally hydrophobic polypropylene with a soft brushed fleece inner, so it repels water rather than absorbing it, staying light and drying faster through long sessions. A PFAS-free Durable Water Repellency treatment adds further protection, and 4-way stretch with a rolled neckline allows comfortable movement across sailing, paddle, rowing, and watersports.
The Zhik Hydrophobic Fleece Top offers more warmth than a thin baselayer and more freedom of movement than a wetsuit top, designed for cooler conditions where warmth and mobility both matter.
The top is made from polypropylene, a naturally hydrophobic fibre that repels water rather than absorbing it. A wet layer can turn heavy and cold, whereas this fabric sheds water and stays light, helping it dry faster. Because the repellency is part of the fibre, it does not wash out the way an applied coating can. A PFAS-free Durable Water Repellency treatment adds further protection on the surface.
A soft brushed fleece backing adds warmth and a comfortable feel against the skin, and 4-way stretch allows movement in every direction. A rolled neckline sits smooth against the skin for chafe-free comfort, and flatlock stitching sewn with water-resistant thread keeps seams flat and reduces water retention and ingress.
The top can be worn on its own as a baselayer or layered under outerwear, and suits sailing, paddle, rowing, and watersports in cooler conditions.
