Muir Cougar HR1600 Windlass — Deck Template & Chainpipe Layout

HR1600 Composite Deck Template (HR1600DT)

  • Drawn at 1:1 on A3: six bolt holes ø10.5 mm and a cut-out section for the wiring; bow arrow shows orientation.
  • Print with page scaling set to "None" or 100%, then check the printed 200 mm scale bar before using it.
  • Mark out the holes and check with the windlass in position before drilling.

HR1600 Composite Chainpipe Layout (HR1600CPDT)

  • Use together with the HR1600DT deck template. Shows the chainpipe hole (ø47 mm) and fixing hole (ø7 mm) for a windlass with port-side or starboard-side gypsy.
  • Place the windlass with the gypsy mounted and make sure the chain falls vertically into the centre of the chainpipe before cutting or drilling.
  • Chainpipe position varies with chain size and gypsy model, so these dimensions are a guide only.
  • Same printing rule: scaling "None" or 100%, check the 200 mm scale bar.
