About This Book

Lewmar's dealer spares book of November 2005: fitting instructions, exploded spares drawings with kit numbers, and range drawings for the hatch and portlight ranges of that time. It was designed to be used with an Excel spares list that is not included; the drawings are indexed by drawing number.

Reading the Kit Numbers

Many kit numbers contain letters that stand for a colour digit. Replace the letter with the digit for the colour you need:

X digit – acrylic colour

Digit	Colour
0	Smoke grey
1	Bronze
2	Clear
3	White
4	Green

Y digit – frame colour

Digit	Colour
0	Silver anodise
1	Black anodise
2	White paint
8	Shiny silver

Some high volume builders use custom paint colours not shown.

Z digit (handles, mouldings): 0 = standard grey, 1 = Beneteau grey.
W digit (trim mouldings): 2 = white, 5 = ivory.

Mark 2 lids do not fit Mark 1 lower frames, and the Low/Medium Profile kits are not compatible with previous hatch ranges.

Seal replacement needs solvent-based contact adhesive (Low/Medium Profile: 3M Scotch-Grip 7434 or similar water-based contact adhesive to hold the seal on the acrylic). Lift the old seal at one point and pull it off all round, clean old adhesive from the channel without damaging the frame. Superhatch production stopped in 1987 and only a limited range of spares remains.

Store titles for these Atlantic order numbers show different screw lengths; ask us before ordering.

Standard portlights from the catalogue come with screws for 17-22mm skin; Atlantic portlights for 8-10mm.
Flat surface within +/-1mm extending 12mm beyond the cut-out; bed with an adhesive marine sealant at least 3mm thick; bolt up from the centre out to a maximum 2.8Nm (25 in.lb).
Plastic trim: cut the inner edge so that height H = T less 12mm, then snap the trim onto the inner frame.
